EyePrompt Support

Welcome to support for EyePrompt, the teleprompter app that helps you look at the camera and read your script at the same time. EyePrompt is a native iPhone app made by Beonbrand Inc., a Canadian company. This page answers the most common questions and walks you through the usual fixes. If you still need help, we are happy to hear from you.

We typically reply within 2 to 3 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday, and replies may take a little longer around weekends and holidays. Frequently asked questions

How does EyePrompt help me keep my eyes on the lens?

EyePrompt places your scrolling script directly in front of the camera view while you record, so your reading position and the lens sit close together. When your eyes follow the words, you are also looking toward the camera, which reads as natural eye contact to your viewers. You control the scroll speed, text size, and layout so the words stay comfortable to read.

The app also offers Smart Pause. It listens to your microphone for how loud you are, not for what you say, and holds the script in place when you stop speaking. This is a simple volume measurement. It is not speech recognition, and it never transcribes or interprets your words.

Is anything I record uploaded anywhere?

No. EyePrompt is local-first and privacy-first. Your scripts, recorded takes, thumbnails, settings, and Eye Contact Scores are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. The app has no accounts and no login, and it makes no network calls of its own, so nothing is uploaded to Beonbrand. There are no Beonbrand servers holding your data. You can confirm this yourself: EyePrompt works fully in Airplane Mode.

What is the Eye Contact Score?

The Eye Contact Score is a measurement of how much of a take you spent looking toward the lens. It is calculated on your device using Apple's Vision framework, working from the frames of the video you just recorded. Each take gets one score plus a confidence value, and both are stored locally and deleted when you delete the take.

The score is only a measurement. It never changes, corrects, or repaints your eyes or your gaze, and it does not create or alter any part of your video. No face data is stored, transmitted, or used to identify you.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

EyePrompt has a Free tier and a Pro upgrade. Pro is available as:

All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Beonbrand never sees your payment card details or your Apple ID. On your device, the app simply learns that Pro is unlocked. Prices shown here may vary by region and are always confirmed by Apple at the time of purchase.

Which iPhones does EyePrompt work on?

EyePrompt is an iPhone app. You will need an iPhone running a recent version of iOS, with a working camera and microphone. The exact minimum iOS version is listed on the EyePrompt App Store page, which always reflects the current requirement. EyePrompt is not designed for iPad-only or Mac-only use.

Does EyePrompt work offline?

Yes. EyePrompt is built to run entirely on your device and does not need an internet connection to record, analyze, or export. It works fully in Airplane Mode. The only time your iPhone needs a connection is when Apple handles a purchase, a subscription restore, or an App Store refund, because those steps happen through Apple, not through the app.

Troubleshooting

Camera or microphone permission

EyePrompt needs camera access to record your video and microphone access to record your audio and to run Smart Pause. If recording will not start, check that both permissions are granted:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Scroll to and tap EyePrompt.
  3. Turn on Camera and Microphone.
  4. Return to EyePrompt and try recording again.

If you previously declined a permission, iOS may not ask again inside the app, so you will need to enable it in Settings using the steps above.

Storage is full

Recorded takes are saved on your device and can use noticeable space over time. If a recording will not save, or you see a low-storage warning:

A phone call interrupted my recording

If a phone call or another audio interruption arrives while you are recording, iOS may pause or stop the capture. EyePrompt aims to save whatever was captured up to that point. After the call ends, return to EyePrompt, check your takes for the partial recording, and start a new take if you need a clean version. To reduce interruptions, you can turn on Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode before you record.

Exporting or saving to Photos

When you export a finished video, EyePrompt can save it to your Photos library. This uses add-only access, which means EyePrompt can add your exported video to Photos but cannot read, browse, or see anything already in your library.

If saving to Photos fails:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap EyePrompt.
  3. Tap Photos and allow EyePrompt to add photos and videos (for example, choose Add Photos Only if offered).
  4. Try the export again.

If storage is full, saving can also fail, so check your available space using the steps in "Storage is full" above.

VoiceOver

EyePrompt is built with Apple's standard interface tools and aims to work with VoiceOver and other iOS accessibility features. If you find a screen, control, or label that is hard to use with VoiceOver, please tell us. Email [email protected]">[email protected] with your iPhone model, your iOS version, and which screen or control gave you trouble, and we will work to improve it.

Managing your subscription and Restore Purchases

Your subscription and purchase history are managed by Apple through your Apple ID, not by Beonbrand.

Restore Purchases

If you reinstall EyePrompt, set up a new iPhone, or do not see your Pro features, use Restore Purchases:

  1. Open EyePrompt.
  2. Go to Settings inside the app.
  3. Tap Restore Purchases.
  4. Sign in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase if prompted.

Restore works for the Lifetime purchase and for an active subscription tied to your Apple ID.

Manage or cancel a subscription

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You manage or cancel everything in your App Store account settings:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap EyePrompt.
  5. Choose a different plan, or tap Cancel Subscription.

If you cancel, you keep your Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for. The Lifetime purchase is one-time and does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.

Refunds

Purchases and subscriptions are billed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store, not by Beonbrand. To request a refund:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
  2. Find your EyePrompt purchase.
  3. Choose the option to request a refund and follow Apple's steps.

You can also start a refund request from the receipt Apple emails you after a purchase. Apple decides whether a refund is granted, based on Apple's policies. If you have trouble finding your purchase, email us at [email protected]">[email protected] and we will point you in the right direction.

Reporting a bug

If something is not working, we want to know. Email [email protected]">[email protected] and include:

To make this easier, EyePrompt includes a Share Diagnostics option in the app's Settings. It creates a short, plain-text summary you can choose to send us. It includes details like your app version, iOS version, device model, a timestamp, and on-device reliability counters. It does not include your scripts, your recordings, file names, or anything that identifies you, and nothing is ever sent automatically. Sharing it is always your choice.
