EyePrompt is made by Beonbrand Inc., a Canadian company. This page explains who owns what: the parts of EyePrompt that belong to us, the content that belongs to you, and how you may and may not use our work. It is written in plain language and is meant to be easy to follow.

What we own

Beonbrand Inc. owns or licenses the EyePrompt app and everything that makes it work and look the way it does. This includes, for example:

The app's software and source code, and the way its features are built and organized.
The app's visual design, layout, screens, icons, and other original artwork.
The text and content we write, in the app and on our websites at https://eyeprompt.app and https://beonbrand.ca.
The "Eye Contact Score" feature and the way it is presented.

All of this is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in this page transfers any of these rights to you. Any rights we do not clearly grant are reserved.

Our brand and trademarks

The EyePrompt name and the EyePrompt lens and iris logo are brand marks of Beonbrand Inc. The Beonbrand name is also our brand mark. These marks identify our products and our company, and we care about keeping them consistent and trustworthy.

Please do not use our names or logo in a way that suggests we endorse, sponsor, or are affiliated with your product, service, or content when that is not true, or in any way that could confuse people about who made something. You may refer to EyePrompt by name in ordinary, honest ways, for example to say that your video was recorded using EyePrompt, as long as you do not alter our logo, do not use it as your own, and do not imply a partnership that does not exist.

Apple, the App Store, and other product names used on this page or in the app may be trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to describe how EyePrompt works with those services. Their use does not imply any endorsement of EyePrompt by those owners.

What you own

Your work stays yours. The scripts you write, the video takes you record, and the exported videos you create with EyePrompt belong to you. Your Eye Contact Scores relate to your own takes and belong to you as well.

Because EyePrompt is built to be private by design, this content lives on your device in the app's private storage. There are no accounts and no Beonbrand servers, and we do not upload, store, view, or claim any ownership of your scripts, takes, thumbnails, settings, or scores. You are responsible for what you create with EyePrompt, and for making sure you have the rights to any material you include in your recordings.

How you may use EyePrompt

Your right to use the app itself comes from your license to it. EyePrompt is licensed, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple Standard EULA"), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Any additional terms we provide are supplemental and do not replace Apple's EULA or Apple's Media Services Terms.

Within those terms, you may install and use EyePrompt on your Apple devices for your own personal or business content creation, and you may freely use, share, and publish the videos and other work you make with it.

What you may not do

To protect our work and our brand, please do not:

Copy, reproduce, or distribute the app, its code, its design, or our website content, except as your license and applicable law allow.
Modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, or try to derive its source code, except to the limited extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction.
Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise commercially redistribute the app or our content.
Use the EyePrompt or Beonbrand names or logo as your own, or in a way that is misleading or that suggests an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.
Remove, hide, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

These limits apply to our own materials. They do not restrict what you do with your own scripts, recordings, and exported videos, which remain yours.

Reporting copyright infringement

We respect the intellectual-property rights of others, and we ask the same in return. If you believe that content we control, on our websites or in the app, infringes your copyright, you can send us a notice and we will review it in good faith.

Please email [email protected] and include the following, so we can understand and act on your request:

Your name and contact details, including an email address where we can reach you.
A clear description of the work you say is being infringed.
A clear description of the material you believe is infringing, and enough detail for us to locate it, such as a link or the exact place it appears.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Your physical or electronic signature.

We may need to contact you for more information, and we may share the relevant parts of your notice with the person who provided the material in question so they have a chance to respond. Please only report content that Beonbrand actually controls. Content you create and keep on your own device is not something we host or can remove.

Changes to this page

We may update this page from time to time as EyePrompt, our brand, or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top. Please check back for the current version.
