EyePrompt Teleprompter End User License Agreement
Last updated: [Effective date to be set at publication]
The app currently links to the Apple Standard EULA in the App Store listing and in-app. Adopting this custom supplemental EULA is optional. See the implementation guide before publishing this page.
Overview
EyePrompt Teleprompter ("EyePrompt," "the app") is published by Beonbrand Inc., a Canadian company (beonbrand.ca). This page explains the terms under which you are allowed to use the app.
EyePrompt is licensed to you, not sold. Your license is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple Standard EULA"), which you can read here:
https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
The Apple Standard EULA is the primary agreement for your use of EyePrompt. The supplemental terms below are added by Beonbrand Inc. They do not replace Apple's EULA or Apple's Media Services Terms. If any supplemental term below conflicts with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA controls for that point.
Supplemental terms from Beonbrand Inc.
1. Scope of your license
Under the Apple Standard EULA, you receive a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use EyePrompt on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms. You may use EyePrompt to write and rehearse scripts, record video takes, review your Eye Contact Scores, and export or save your own recordings. Some features are part of EyePrompt Pro and require an active subscription or a one-time purchase (see section 4).
2. What you may not do
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else:
- copy, redistribute, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or lend the app, except as the Apple Standard EULA allows;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, or otherwise try to derive its source code, except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction;
- modify the app, or create derivative works of it, other than as the Apple Standard EULA allows;
- remove, hide, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
- use the app in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights.
3. Ownership
Beonbrand owns the app. EyePrompt, including its software, design, name, logo, and related intellectual property, belongs to Beonbrand Inc. and its licensors. Your license does not transfer any ownership of the app to you. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
You own your content. The scripts you write, the takes you record, your thumbnails, and your Eye Contact Scores are yours. They are stored locally on your device, in the app's private storage. Beonbrand does not operate any server for EyePrompt and does not receive, store, or access your content. You are responsible for the content you create and for keeping your own copies and backups of anything you want to preserve.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
EyePrompt Pro is sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple, not Beonbrand, processes every payment. Beonbrand receives no payment card details and no Apple ID information; the app only learns, on your device, that Pro is unlocked.
- Monthly: $7.99, no free trial.
- Annual: $39.99, with a 7-day free trial.
- Lifetime: $99.99, a one-time purchase.
Auto-renewing subscriptions (Monthly and Annual) renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription, and see renewal dates, in your App Store account settings. Prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by region.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store refund process, not by Beonbrand. Your purchase is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms.
5. No warranty
To the fullest extent allowed by law, EyePrompt is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Beonbrand does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. The Eye Contact Score is an on-device measurement to help you rehearse; it is a guide, not a guarantee of any outcome. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including the maintenance and support and warranty terms set out in the Apple Standard EULA.
6. Apple as a third-party beneficiary
As set out in the Apple Standard EULA, Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of your license to use EyePrompt. When you accept the terms of your license, Apple has the right to enforce that license against you as a third-party beneficiary. Under the Apple Standard EULA, Beonbrand, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content, and for addressing any claims relating to the app, to the extent required by that agreement.
7. Governing law
These supplemental terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province or territory in which Beonbrand Inc. maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Your license itself is governed as stated in the Apple Standard EULA. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
8. Changes to these terms
Beonbrand may update these supplemental terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. The Apple Standard EULA may be updated by Apple on Apple's own terms.
